The challenge

A rapid marketing response was needed to capitalize on the publicity being generated by Paris Hilton wearing a pair of StarSparkle hand-customized trainers.

A corporate identity was created which would appeal to the target market (aspirational 18-30 year olds), while still allowing the designer to focus on other business areas.

> Within two weeks of the website launch, the number of orders amounted to several weeks’ work

> More than 1000 ‘visits’ had been recorded on the website within two weeks of the launch

> StarSparkles had been featured in The Sun, More, Reveal and The Evening Times

> Pauline Clifford was named ‘Most Visionary Business in Scotland’ at the BT Scotland Young E-ntrepreneurs in January 2007.

> StarSparkles are now being sold in Selfridges London and Manchester and Harvey Nichols London.
